Vegan Food

So last week Saturday was a bit different for me I was invited to attend a launch of a vegan restaurant in Camden.Despite it was a pretty full Saturday for me I just couldn't pass up this opportunity for multiple reasons. For starters if you've been watching my instastories you would know how much I love cooking, visiting restaurants and trying new food. *Lets be honest my idea of a great night is watching back to back episodes of master-chef.

When I first arrived at VBurger it was quite busy which I think is quite good for the fact that there is so much stalls everywhere and it was there launch day. The cashier was very friendly even though I was so indecisive because everything just looked and smelled so yum but I've got to say that he was quite patient and personable with me. While I waited they brought out tasters for the filling of one of their burgers and I just decided to take a few photo's but overall I loved the laid back casual vibe.

So this is the first of many VBurger bars launched in Camden so that everyone can still have that experience of shopping, eating and roaming but still have a hearty burger. Whether your vegan, your on a vegan diet or you have no preference at all I'm sure you'll be able to find something you like on there street style menu. VBurger's menu is centered around 3 plant based burgers which are:

Upbeet-slow roasted british beetroot and quinoa patty, served with smoked tomato relish, lettuce, tomato, dill gherkins, sliced red onion, and topped with a garlic and chive aioli.

Feisty Falafel- smashed chickpea and roasted sweet potato burger seasoned with organic turmeric and cumin, topped with fried aubergine, lettuce, tomato and red onion, and drizzled with spiced harissa mayonnaise and tahini.

Seitan Schnitzel-deep fried and breaded seitan served with cheeky chipotle mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, dill gherkins and red onion.

The burgers can be served with chips, extra cheese, onion rings ect which is taking my taste buds all the way down memory lane again. More of this amazing menu can be found at VBurgers Website.

So now that your well and truly hungry because I know I am lets get down to what I ordered. In the end I went for the Fiesty Falafel I'm such a boring person at times I went for the safe option because I love Falafel and I am so familiar with it. I'll be honest and say I have had some dry falafel wraps in my day but the falafel in this burger wasn't dry at all it was flavoursome and it was such a generous burger. I had onion rings and chips and they were both so yummy but I am obsessed with the onion rings. Getting back into the burger what I liked is that the taste wasn't overpowering and the guacamole I got with mine just complimented it.And a side note when you go definitely try the vegan mayo it is lush....

I loved the burger, loved the atmosphere, friendly staff what more can you ask for. I got a chance to try the Seitan Shnitzel tasters and the taste was different but nice. One thing everyone kept saying is Upbeet was really good and that's the one burger I shied away from because of my lack of love for beets. However a fellow non-beet lover like myself loved it.So I cant wait to go back to VBurger with some of my friends to be a little bit adventurous probably try Upbeet as well as a cheeky brownie.

There are very few places in Camden where you can grab a hearty vegan burger and still maintain that fast food experience that is valuable in a busy market. Vburger is a gem in the heart of Camden Market and you can find them at Camden Lock Place,Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1 8AF. Also you can get connected with them on their social platforms:
