My First#1: Matte Liquid Lipsticks

 Hey Lovelies,

I went to Victoria a few weeks ago to pick up a lovely dress from Dorothy Perkins that was on sale, while making my way back downstairs I saw that there was a boots so being a total Superdrug fan I was quite skeptical to enter. What prompted me was the fact that Boots has been recently launching a lot of overseas beauty products that are hard to get here in London such as Nyx and Bare Minerals.

So back to the story on entering boots, I saw a lot of different beauty products and makeup that I have never tried before and I went on a little beauty binge quite comparable to said previous binges in Superdrug LOL. So that's where the idea to start a My First Series on the blog I am still new to beauty and makeup and I wanted to review not just brands that I've never tried but products also and give an honest newbie perspective. So this review is in no way sponsored. To start the first post in the my first post series(try saying that 3 times fast Ha!)  I have decided to start with one of  favourite type of makeup product the lippy.

So I saw The Sleek Matte Me Ultra Smooth Lip Cream in one of Zoella's youtube videos and I really liked it,despite their range only 2 colours appealed to me because of Zoella's video and doing swatches ect..The colours are Birthday Suit and Velvet Slipper and I have got to say that Sleek has done it again. To be honest the only product I have of sleek is a blusher that I always purchase it's a berry pink quite popular but I am now a big fan of their matte lipsticks, the Velvet Slipper like the blusher I use is very pigmented and it's a deep berry colour so I will be looking forward to rocking this colour in fall especially and there birthday suit is a lovely nude pink and they glide on smooth with the appearance that I'm wearing a lipstick instead of a liquid lip cream if you get my drift.

The cost of these babies are £4.99 but at the time Sleek was doing a buy 2 get the 3rd one half price and they had about 6 colours in the range to choose from. When I first saw someone where a liquid lipstick from MUA it was wet patchy and I vowed to never get one and to stick with Lipsticks but these Matte lipsticks are definitely keepers in my opinion so I guess I will probably try out a few more.

What's your experience with Matte LipstickS? What's your favourite Matte Lipsicks?

I'd love to know your thoughts. Leave a Comment Below
