Urban Decay Naked Heat Review| Hot or Just a load of smoke?

Urban Decay Naked Heat Review
Is it me or is there a new palette launching like all the time. Its just recently they launched the Carly Bybel Deluxe Palette and I was planning to do a post and then this dropped along with the ABH Subculture Palette. To be honest before seeing the actual palette I wasn't really interested in trying it because most of the Urban Decay Palette's I have seen are just not my shades at all if I were to be honest. I naturally gravitate to warm palettes and since I have the ABH Palette and a few other warm palettes I wasn't sure whether it was worth it getting this also. Youtube totally swayed me on this one because there have been numerous reviews on this palette and for the most part they have been positive.

So the palette contains 12 shades in total and for the most part each pan has a generous amount .I love the packaging I just think its quite modern and really emphasise the heat or flame aspect of the palette. Its also so sturdy and has quite a bit of weight to it which I was quite surprised by.

The Palette blends so effortlessly the actual colours are so creamy I literally went oooh while swatching them and while applying them to my lids. For the most part my favourites in terms of colours changed while swatching because to be honest I liked the colours in row 7-12 especially ashes from watching YouTube. However after swatching them I loved all the glitters more and that's new for me because I usually prefer matte's and this palette has a nice variety of warm matte shades.

With the palette you do get some fall out but I didn't get alot compared to other palette's I have used. Ashes was really hard to swatch it just looked a bit patchy while swatching it but it blended really well on the lids and I was mostly excited to try this colour. Lumbre I am obsessed with because I have nothing even close to this its like a rose gold pink glitter ughh love love love. But for the most part I loved all the colours apart from ounce which was a bit too light for me so that will probably be used in the corners of my eyes and chaser is a nice shade for the crease or the corners of my eyes to.Also the brush it comes with works well, usually  when I receive a brush in a palette I just rest it to to one side because it just isn't great, but this brush is so soft and it works so I've got to give Urban Decay serious props for that.

What I do like about this palette is that you have quite a number of colours and type of eyeshadows to play with you've got transition shades, a variety of glitters dark glitters and light glitters you can go for a natural look or a glammed look the possibilities are endless. Also because some people find the ABH palette to be too much in terms of pigment this is very easy to use if your a beginner when it comes to shadows. I haven't compared the palette's fully but this does have some shades that the ABH doesn't have and vice versa. If you would like a comparison post between this and other warm palettes I own leave a comment below letting me know.

Lastly despite my swatches does not really do the palette justice because a little person kept jumping everywhere while doing said swatches. This palette is extremely pigmented, all of the glitters and most of the darker colours in it I just needed to swipe the pan once. I was so shocked by the pigment I posted it on my instastories.
So yes this palette is flaming hot and worth the hype! Its one of my best purchases for 2017 and I am looking forward to doing some autumnal looks with this.

The Naked Heat Palette* retails for £39.50 at Urban Decay, Feel Unique, Debenhams and House of Fraser

  4. I bought the Naked1 in December and now I really want to try this one because it has more warm colors that are the ones I love most because they make my blue eyes pop. I agree with you, a lot of new palette on the market and I think that this trend started after the big success of the Rose Gold and Modern Renaissance!

    1. Yes I believe so I was trying not to get swept up by every new palette. Also I totally think this would suit you if you've got blue eyes:)
